FISHING PACKAGES
ON THE KENAI RIVER

GUIDED SALMON • ALL-INCLUSIVE LODGING • CUSTOM ITINERARIES

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN OUR PACKAGES

Every Alaska fishing package at Marlow's on the Kenai starts with a riverfront cabin on one of the most productive salmon rivers in the world. You're not staying in a hotel and driving to the water — you're waking up steps from the Kenai River with a private dock right outside your door. That's the foundation everything else is built on.

Our cabins sleep 4 to 6 guests each and come fully equipped with kitchens, so you can cook your catch the same day you pull it from the river. We provide a professional fish cleaning station on-site — your guide fillets your fish, vacuum seals it, and has it ready for transport home. No scrambling to find a processor in town. No wasted meat. Just clean, frozen fillets packed and labeled by species.

Gear is included in every guided trip — rods, reels, tackle, and waders. You don't need to haul equipment across the country or worry about whether your setup is right for Kenai River conditions. Our guides bring everything dialed in for the species you're targeting that day, from heavy king salmon rigs to lightweight fly setups for trophy trout.

We coordinate all guided trips directly through the lodge, so you never have to chase down a separate outfitter or cross your fingers that a third-party booking works out. Tell us what you want to catch, how many days you have, and how many people are in your group — we handle the rest. That includes guide scheduling, dock access, fish processing, and making sure your freezer is full when you leave.

GUIDED SALMON PACKAGES

The Kenai River is home to all five species of Pacific salmon, and our guided salmon fishing packages put you on the water during peak runs with experienced local guides who know every bend, hole, and seam in this river. Whether you're after a trophy king salmon that could top 60 pounds or a cooler full of sockeye fillets for the freezer, we build packages around the species and the season.

King salmon packages run from mid-May through July, targeting the largest and most powerful salmon in Alaska. The Kenai holds the all-tackle world record — a 97-pound giant — and every summer anglers return chasing the next one. Our guides drift you through deep canyon water and prime holding lies where trophy kings stack up. These trips are full-day affairs with all gear provided, and they sell out fast. If kings are on your list, book early.

Sockeye salmon flood the Kenai and Russian River systems from late June through July, returning by the millions. These fish are prized for their rich, deep-red meat — many guests say sockeye is the best-eating salmon in Alaska. Our sockeye packages include guided combat fishing on the Russian River and drift boat trips on the Kenai, with vacuum-sealed fillets ready for your trip home.

Silver salmon arrive from late July through September, and they're the most aggressive strikers of the bunch. Silvers hit flies, spinners, and plugs with explosive takes and acrobatic fights that keep your rod bent and your heart pounding. Our silver salmon packages pair perfectly with September trophy trout fishing for guests who want to extend their trip into fall.

TROPHY TROUT & FLY FISHING

September on the Kenai River is a different world. The summer crowds thin out, the cottonwoods start turning gold, and the biggest rainbow trout of the year move into feeding lanes behind spawning salmon. These fish gorge on salmon eggs and flesh, packing on weight before winter — and they grow to sizes that make the Kenai one of the top trophy trout destinations on the planet.

Our trophy trout packages are built around this narrow fall window when conditions are perfect. Guides drift you through prime holding water in low-profile boats, targeting rainbows and Dolly Varden that average 20 to 28 inches — with legitimate shots at fish pushing past 30. You'll sight-cast to feeding trout with egg patterns, flesh flies, and beads, watching your indicator dip as a heavy fish commits. It's technical, visual fly fishing at its finest.

These September trips are catch-and-release, which is why the Kenai's trophy trout population stays as strong as it does. You're not filling a cooler — you're landing the kind of wild rainbow trout that most anglers only see in magazines. The river is quieter, the weather is crisp, and the fishing is world-class.

For guests who want the full picture, pair a few days of trophy trout with late-season silver salmon fishing. Silvers are still running strong through September, so you can fill your freezer in the morning and chase trophy rainbows in the afternoon. It's one of the best one-two punches in Alaska fishing, and it's all accessible right from the lodge.

ALL-INCLUSIVE ALASKA FISHING TRIPS

When we say all-inclusive, we mean it. Our all-inclusive Alaska fishing trip packages cover your riverfront cabin, guided fishing each day, all gear and tackle, fish cleaning and vacuum sealing, and access to our private docks and property amenities. You show up, fish hard, eat well, and leave with a cooler full of fillets — we handle everything else.

Every all-inclusive package is built around your group's goals. Want three days of king salmon and a halibut charter? Done. Prefer five days mixing sockeye, silvers, and a fly-out to a remote river? We'll map it out. Looking for the ultimate Alaska fishing experience? Our Bucket List Package combines multiple species, ocean charters, and fly-out adventures into a single trip you'll talk about for the rest of your life.

The biggest advantage of booking all-inclusive is that you stop planning and start fishing. Most guests who piece together their own Alaska trip spend weeks coordinating lodging, guides, gear rentals, fish processing, and logistics — and they still end up missing something. With our packages, one call handles it all. Your guides are booked, your cabin is ready, and your fish gets processed on-site the same day you catch it.

All-inclusive salmon fishing packages in Alaska are popular for families, corporate groups, and first-time visitors who want a seamless experience without surprises. We keep our property small — four cabins, 14 guests max — so you get personal attention and uncrowded water, not the assembly-line feel of a large commercial lodge. That's what brings people back year after year.

OCEAN ADD-ONS: HALIBUT & DEEP SEA

Some of the best fishing in Alaska isn't on the river — it's on the ocean. We arrange halibut and deep sea charters out of Homer and Ninilchik, both within easy driving distance from the lodge. These day trips pair perfectly with your river fishing days and give you a shot at barn-door halibut, lingcod, and rockfish in the rich waters of Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay.

Homer is known as the “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World” for good reason. Charter boats head out early and anchor over productive reefs where halibut up to 200+ pounds feed on the bottom. It's a completely different style of fishing from the river — heavy tackle, deep water, and the kind of raw power that puts your whole body into the fight. Ninilchik offers a slightly closer option with the same world-class halibut fishing and fewer crowds.

Most guests add one or two ocean days to their Kenai River package. You fish salmon or trout on the river in the morning, then head to the coast the next day for halibut. It's the best way to fill your cooler with both red and white meat — sockeye fillets and halibut steaks shipped home together. We coordinate the charter booking so it fits seamlessly into your trip schedule.

Ocean charters run from May through September, with peak halibut fishing in June and July. If you're building a custom package, tell us you want an ocean day and we'll work it into your itinerary. The scenic drive from Sterling to Homer alone — through mountains, past glaciers, and along the coast — is worth the trip.

BUILD YOUR CUSTOM PACKAGE

No two groups are the same, and no two trips should be either. We build custom Kenai River fishing packages from 3 to 7+ days, mixing and matching guided river trips, ocean charters, fly-out adventures, and rest days to fit exactly what your group wants. Whether you're a crew of four buddies chasing kings or a family of twelve looking for a week-long Alaska vacation, we tailor every detail.

Group rates are available for parties of 6 or more, and full property rentals accommodate up to 18 guests across all four riverfront cabins. That means exclusive access to the entire property — private docks, fire pit, grill, fish cleaning station, and the kind of privacy you won't find at a commercial lodge. It's perfect for corporate retreats, family reunions, bachelor parties, and milestone celebrations.

Flexible scheduling means you're not locked into a rigid itinerary. Want to sleep in after a big day on the river? Go for it. Want to add a last-minute halibut charter because the weather looks perfect? We'll make the call. Our guides and coordinators adapt to your pace, not the other way around. That flexibility is one of the biggest reasons guests choose Marlow's over larger, more structured operations.

Start by telling us your dates, group size, and what species you're most excited about. We'll put together a custom package with pricing, send it over for review, and lock everything in once you're ready. No pressure, no hidden fees — just a straightforward Alaska fishing trip built around what matters to you. Check availability or call us directly to get started.
